A primary part of any new baby's wardrobe are baby booties. It will be many months before your baby has any real need for shoes - only when he or she begins walking in places requiring the safety offered by sturdier footwear like shoes. When it comes to warmth, Baby's feet are no distinct from yours or mine. Being furthest from the heart, they seem most susceptible to losing warmth. More involved booties use combinations of elastic at the heels and ankles and adjustable snap closures at the ankle. Babies are infinitely involving about their own feet and unbelievably clever at seeing ways to expose them. It can take some real creativity to keep those booties on your baby.

Personally, I think that babies need the satisfaction of the occasional victory. If you see that your baby seems intent on removing her booties, let her win once in a while - bonus her for initiative and exertion and you will have a happier baby.
